“If it was possible in New York…”: Whoopi Goldberg questions ‘automobile chase’ claims involving Prince Harry and Meghan


‘The View’ cohost Whoopi Goldberg has referred to as out Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the claims of ‘close to catastrophic automobile chase’ by paparazzi in New York not too long ago. The Duke of Sussex’s spokesperson had stated that the Prince Harry, Meghan and her mom have been concerned in a close to catastriphic automobile chase by the hands of extremely aggressive paparazzi and the pursuit lasted greater than two hours.

On Thursday, throughout ‘The View’ episode, Goldberg doubted the claims made concerning the automobile chase. She seemingly pointed in the direction of New York visitors which can not result in such chases. Goldberg highlighted how she does not attain the theatre on time as a result of visitors.

“Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were followed by paparazzi while leaving the Ziegfeld Theatre. Their spokesperson called it a ‘near-catastrophic car chase,’” began Goldberg.

“Others said it wasn’t bad,” she continued.

“However I feel folks in New York know if it was attainable to have automobile chases in New York, we’d all make it to the theater on time,” she added, inflicting the studio viewers to giggle.

“But I think their spokesperson referenced something that you generally would reference in Los Angeles. That’s where you have chases. That’s where you can move at high speeds,” Goldberg was quoted as saying by Web page Six.

Goldberg obtained assist for her arguments from cohost Pleasure Behar. However Sunny Hostin disagreed with Goldberg’s feedback on the matter.

Notably, Prince Harry’s mom Princess Diana had died in a high-speed automobile chase in 1997 whereas making an attempt to flee the paparazzi who had been following her. Diana was in a black Mercedes-Benz automobile together with her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed and their driver whereas making an attempt to flee the paparazzi, hit a pillar within the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris which finally led to the demise of all three.
