Amor (The Tune of Love) is an old-world love track filled with longing, tenderness and a touch of despair. The music video, launched on YouTube on June 5, is a tribute to the LGBTQIA+ group and its launch marks Satisfaction Month, noticed from June 1 to 30 worldwide.
The track in Malayalam depicts the romantic relationship between two males. “Though originally written in a heteronormative perspective, the song seemed ideal to be adapted to same sex love,” says Jijo Kuriakose, director and producer of the video and a homosexual artist and photographer primarily based in Kochi. “We have explored the emotional aspect of gay romance in a way that it appeals to a wider audience,” he provides.
