Panel to supervise Olympic preparation, plan for bidding of multidisciplinary sports activities occasions

A high-level committee, comprising prime officers of the sports activities ministry, Indian Olympic Affiliation and different stakeholders has been shaped to supervise the preparation of Indian athletes for the 2024 Paris and 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and ‘put together a technique for bidding of multi-disciplinary sporting occasions for India.’

The 17-member panel shaped by the sports activities ministry can be headed by the Sports activities Minister. For the 2028 Los Angeles Games, the panel will chart out a roadmap, review the preparation process and ensure coordination among all stakeholders.

One of the Terms of Reference of the Committee is to also “put together a technique for bidding of multi disciplinary sporting occasions for India,” based on the notification.
