Prime Minister Narendra Modi had lately suggested BJP celebration employees to keep away from making pointless feedback on movies, actors and filmmakers. Reacting to it, Anurag Kashyap had acknowledged, “If he had said this four years ago, it would have made a difference. Now, I don’t think it’ll make a difference. It was about controlling their own people. Things have gone out of hand now. I don’t think anybody will listen to anyone. When you stay silent, you empower prejudice and you empower hatred. It has now got so much empowered that it is a power in itself. The mob is out of control now.” Reacting to Anurag’s assertion, Vivek Agnihotri tweeted, “Audience is ‘mob’ now? Wow! Wow! Wow!”

PM Modi’s remark had come amid the protests that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathaan’ has been dealing with. BJP leaders like Ram Kadam and Narottam Mishra had criticized Deepika Padukone’s saffron costumes within the movie. Mishra, who can also be the spokesperson of the Madhya Pradesh authorities, instructed reporters, “Nobody was named, but his (PM Modi’s) every word, sentence is important for us and that is why all the workers have drawn inspiration from there. Our conduct and behaviour are always filled with his guidance and energy and will continue to be in future.”
