It is occurring a crewless journey across the moon and again.

It’s the first flight of the mixed House Launch System rocket and the Orion capsule

The journey features a 25-day Orion flight that will carry the capsule to inside 97 km of the lunar floor.

Then, it might fly 64,400 km past the moon earlier than it loops again to Earth.

The capsule is anticipated to land at sea on December 11.

With the Artemis programme, NASA hopes to return people to the moon as early as 2025.
